One thing I enjoy about bocce is that matches and tournaments often give us a reason to get out, meet other players, and sometimes travel to different locations. When I’m driving to an unfamiliar venue, I’ve started doing a little preparation beforehand rather than leaving everything until the last minute.
Besides checking the route and allowing enough time for traffic, I usually make sure the car has enough fuel, the tires look good, and all the important vehicle documents are in order. It sounds basic, but small things can become a headache when you’re already on the road or trying to arrive on time for a match.
For anyone who regularly drives to games, tournaments, or other sporting events, do you have a routine that you follow before leaving? Do you check parking arrangements or traffic conditions in advance, or do you usually just head out and figure things out along the way?
